Lions Gate B&W Tower
On Jan 11, 2015 I went on my first photo-walk with the Van City Free Capture Photography Meetup group. We were aiming to capture a sunrise but instead we ended up getting a lot of fog which made for some great photo opportunities. This is a picture of the main tower of the Lions Gate Bridge. You can see the rest of the images from this photo-walk here https://500px.com/xwiechers/sets/lionsgatebridge

Lions Gate Water Drops Play.tif
This is another shot from the photo-walk at Lions Gate Bridge. Ended up getting many great captures but this one is one of my favourites. The fog, mist, and very light rain caused water drops on the lens causing the lights around the street lamp that makes it look like bokeh.

Vancouver BC buildings in the downtown core Burrard and Georgia st. This image is an HDR of three images. The angle was wide so I corrected to straighten it up. The fog of that day created a great atmosphere but the traffic on the street was ruining the shot. So I blended the image with a vertical motion blur to remove the distraction of the street

Simon Fraser University Academic Quadrangle Building
In SFU by the transportation are towards the parking lot there is a dome to let light in. Underneath is this tree. I like the contrast of the stark concrete and the natural setting of the tree. SFU has incredible architecture, it is worth at least a one day trip for photos.
